Spirit once said to me:

 “We are taking you on a journey where you will meet new people and travel far

Where you will have mountains to climb and forests to walk through,

Where old friends will fall by the wayside and new ones will enter into your life

Where pain and anguish will be replaced by tears of happiness and joy

No matter how hard you may want to you cannot cling to those whose path is not by the side of yours

Times change and everyone moves on some silently some kicking and screaming

But move on you must how else are you going to progress”

It’s a hard lesson to learn to let go of the friends who have walked your path

But in truth they also have a new path to follow and they too must let go and continue forward

The hard part is letting go and having faith that the next step you take is on your new path

The hardest part is not to keep looking back but to keep your eyes on the brighter future
