Reiki is a non invasive therapy whose purpose is to treat holistically and to restore homeostasis.

 What happens during a session?  A Reiki treatment in non-diagnostic, non-interventionist, non-manipulative and no pressure is applied.  Each session is usually carried out with the recipient lying sown or sitting, in a comfortable environment.  There is no need to remove any clothing as Reiki energy easily passes through all materials including plaster casts.

 The practitioner places their hands gently on or over the body. 

The recipient automatically draws in only as much energy as required using it in whatever way is most appropriate at the time.

Reiki may be experienced as a flow of energy with a feeling of mild tingling, warmth, coolness other mild sensations and sometimes nothing at all.

Any session may be enhanced if you can rest for a while afterwards and drink plenty of water to aid the detoxification process.  Be responsive to your body’s needs. E.g. resting if tired, and allowing the energy to continue it’s work in the days following the session.  The beneficial effects may be felt for several days after each session.

Frequency of sessions.  Even a single Reiki session may make a difference, however a course of regular sessions may be more effective.  These could be weekly, fortnightly or even less often, depending on individual needs.  A treatment plan may be discussed between you and your practitioner and reviewed as necessary.  This is always subject to your own preferences.

 Reiki treatments helps to promote a calmer response to life’s challenges, it’s gentle energy is easily adapted to most medical conditions and may be used by people of all ages including the newborn, pregnant mothers, surgical patients and the frail and elderly in any situation.

Being complementary Reiki works effectively alongside orthodox healthcare and natural remedies expanding treatment options.

 There are Four levels of Reiki.

 Level 1 (Shoden)  Learning all the hand positions, understanding the history of Reiki and learning the Reiki Principals by which all Reiki students try to live by. 

An instructional book, certificate and a CD of Reiki music is given to all Reiki 1 students who complete the two day course.

Students who complete Reiki 1 are only able to practice on family and friends and receive no remuneration.

 A period of at least six months is recommended between Reiki 1 and taking Reiki 2.

 Level 2 (Okuden)  Continuing and expanding your knowledge and understanding of Reiki.  Learning the symbols that enhance the use of Reiki. 

An instructional book and a certificate is given to all Reiki 2 students who complete the two day course.  Also included is information about insurance and all forms required for a practitioner.

 With a Reiki 2 certificate the student is now able to call themselves Reiki Practitioners and may charge for Reiki sessions.

 A period of at least one year is recommended between Reiki 2 and taking Reiki Master.

 Level 3 (Shinpinden)  Expanding their Reiki 2 knowledge to become a Reiki Master.

A detailed instructional book and a certificate is given to all students who complete the two day course, leading the student to consider becoming a Reiki Master/Teacher.

 A period of at least six months is recommended between Reiki Master and taking Master/Teacher.

 Level 4 As a Reiki Master you will learn how to become a Reiki teacher over the course of two days.  Emphasis is placed on learning all attunements for each level of Reiki with lots of practice.

An instructional book and certificate is given to each student, allowing the student to call themselves Reiki Master/Teacher.

 Please note, I cannot teach Crystal Reiki to anyone who has not completed Reiki 2.

 Crystal Reiki Healing 1 and 2

 Enhancing all you have learnt from Reiki 2 onwards. Each course is held over two days.

Students will learn how to use crystals to increase the energy of Reiki. 

Each student will receive an instructional book, reference book, a set of Chakra crystals, a pendulum, and crystal wand.  Each student will receive a certificate on completion of their two day course.

 For Crystal Reiki Healing 2 the course is held over 2 days, three-four weeks apart.  This is to allow you time for a case study which must take place over a 3 week period.  On completion of your case study, and a day of revision of everything you have learnt on both Crystal Healing 1 and 2 you will receive your certificate allowing your self to be called a Crystal Reiki Practitioner.

 A period of at least six months is recommended between taking Reiki 2 and Crystal Reiki Healing.

 Meditation plays an important part of each Reiki course.

Each course is held with a maximum of 4 persons.
